Converted from the Tilley R1 paraffin heater produced in East London between roughly 1920 and 1960, these rugged industrial lamps were built to last and 90 odd years later they have. We at Industrial Electric fell in love with their quirky shape and have set about bringing them back to the twenty first century and once fitted out with modern electrics they produce a soft and warm reflected glow. Each RG2 has received hours of loving restoration and all the latest technical wizardry available, but we have been very careful not to lose any of their vintage feel.
Every RG2 is completely unique, they all have different feels, different features and tell different stories, we want you to enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed converting them and are only too happy to help you choose the perfect one for you. Each Industrial Electric Light Company product comes individually numbered and with a handmade authenticity card.
As standard each light comes with two meters of bright red fabric cable and a wonderful large filament light bulb. If you’re looking for something extra we have an extensive range of fabric cable and filament light bulbs available to choose from and can build you a light to your exact specification – just tell us what you need. We’re also happy to take on any old Tilley R1’s you’ve got gathering dust in the loft, just send it in and we will lovingly restore it for you.
